Thirty-four USAC Non-wing Sprint Cars checked in for battle at the Southern New Mexico Speedway in Las Cruces, New Mexico for the $10,000.00 to win Thanksgiving Bash. Dave Darland would walk away with the chunk of change. USRA Modifieds would join the Wigless Warriors, with the Casa Nissan Legends, and the Slime Mini Sprints.
Seven Legends making the call, called for a quick and easy race. The “Wildman” would start dead last, and took the lead on lap one, and lead from flag to flag.
Five Hundred dollars on the line for the Slime Mini Sprints caught thirty Mini Sprint drivers, attention! There was a b-main, and twenty-four cars would start the feature. Dennis Carrier out of Phoenix, Arizona would clean sweep the weekend, with Dustin Cormeni being runner up. They would go side by side for the lead and it was a close one, but Dennis Carrier would walk away $1000.00 richer after this weekends action.
Jacob Gallardo dominated Saturdays USRA Modified main event. Thousand to win, and he had no trouble. With two cautions, and Philip Houston, and Fito Gallardo following nothing happen, as Jacob just took off! Jacob Gallardo would bank $1000.00
Aaron Reutzel would lead the opening laps on the USAC main event, after winning the first night. Well he ran a little to hard where his right rear blew up. He would go to the back. Later Rj Johnson would lead in the closing laps with five laps to go, but a caution would fly across the speedway for RJ JOHNSON! His right rear would also take a blow. Dave Darland let the race come to him and would win the Thanksgiving Bash at the Southern New Mexico Speedway.
