*****Mark Morris Wins 2013 Spring Enduro*****
    By  Ruben Mireles

As the lights shined around the surface of the Southern New Mexico Speedway,  42 drivers climbed into their cars to get set to do battle. They all went hard for the $2,500.00
200 laps went by quick but not for a lot of drivers. At first, it was a Gallardo show. Fito lead Jacob throught the first 1/4 of the race, but here comes Ricky Olivares in the 7x sharp looking blue car. He comes and upsets the Gallardos by taking the lead for a while. The Gallardos aren't done because here comes Jacob in the 26E4U.
About  to reach the half way point of the race and Jacob's car breaks!!! So the 07 of Donovan Flores comes into play and he leads for a while until he has to pull off. Now it's up to Fito as he is the only Gallardo left. Walten Kyle Sr in the 6 Pack car holds on to 2nd for a while but also breaks!!!
Passing half way into the race it's the 7x of Ricky again up in the runner up spot. He also has to pull out!!! Don't know why but here comes Fito, he gets the lead, and we're not done yet!!!!!!
Daniel Blasser in the car number 1i finds himself out of trouble and running a top 5. So Fito gets the runner up spot with Daniel, and Mark Morris. With 25 to go Fito is slowing down!!! The 01 of Mark Morris is flying!! The fastest car out there is the 01 at this point!! He takes the lead with Fito and Daniel right behind him!!
The final laps of the race (4 to go) Mark Morris gets a flat tire!!!!!!!! So your leader is in trouble and here comes Fito Gallardo!! With 2 to go Fito only had about 10 car lengths between your leader!! The white flag waves and a tire is flat on the 01 car!! Running on the rim and here comes Fito!! At the stripe it came close but Fito Gallardo gets 2nd, short by 4 car lengths!!! So your winner MARK MORRIS!!!!!!!!!!
So now he must auction off his car in order to get the $2,500. So Mark does decide to auction his car away for the $2,500 pay out!!!! His car was sold at $850!!! Mark was too tired but his excitement just energized him all over again!!
So that does it for the 2013 Spring Enduro!! Have to thank everyone for coming out and all of our sponsors!! Don't forget our regular season starts May 4th!!
